Education is Our Only Goal

The Puerto Vallarta Whale Watching Forum is a privately funded, ecological group that promotes education and responsible whale watching activities in and around Puerto Vallarta and Banderas Bay.

This forum intends to achieve our educational goals by:

• Providing an up-to-date listing of vessels that have received legal permission and documentation from the Mexican government to conduct responsible whale watching tours within Banderas Bay.

• Educating our website visitors and forum members in how to be responsible whale watchers and how to report violations of any viewing guidelines outlined by Mexican law. We will do this by publishing Mexican whale watching regulations, suggested whale watching guidelines and best practices for visitors and tour operators, international whale watching regulations and other white papers regarding whale watching regulations worldwide.

• Providing visitors with a way to contact responsible whale watching tour operators that provide authorized whale watching services in Puerto Vallarta.

• Educating visitors about the Humpback whales and other creatures that call Banderas Bay home.

• Providing ongoing news updates regarding whale watching and overall conservation and research related to the waters of Banderas Bay.

• Partnering with researchers to help disseminate important ecological and whale related documentation and information.

• Distributing 100% of all profits (Whale Watching Friends) to like-minded, ecologically and conservational driven organizations.
